A chemical engineering graduate from UDCT Mumbai. Mr. Mahajan has been the pillar of the group right from its inception.
He has been the major driving force that has taken Retort to great heights over the past 30 years.
His official designation is that of a technical director but Mr. Mahajan is actively involved in project development Activities. All the technologies that are currently being followed on the plant scale are developed in-house under his regular guidance. Mr. Mahajan has left no stone unturned for developing all new business ventures that Retort accrues worldwide.
A Chemical Engineer by qualification, Mr. Gaitonde is a technologist who has made his mark by specializing in production operations.
As Retort’s Director for Operations, he is responsible for directing production activities through effective planning & execution and also managing all the units under the Retort Group. He is also a key member of local chemical manufacturer’s association known as TIMA (Tarapur Industrial Manufacturers Association) and is the Joint Managing Director of Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) at Tarapur. It is through his adept guidance, that Retort Group is working within the parameters of safety and ecology in the area of manufacturing operations. An affable person, Mr. Gaitonde has a history of cordiality with all and sundry that comes into contact with him, which has enabled the company’s smooth growth.
Mr. Nadkarni shares the same traits of hard work and resilience as his colleagues and a degree in chemical engineering from UDCT.
He has been successfully managing company’s domestic business affairs and solely responsible for Marketing & Purchase activities. His contribution To Retort group is seen through the timely and smooth flow of the Supply chain that has been established over the years. He is mainly responsible for development and establishment of business with all the Oil companies in India.

It was instituted in 1974 and was founded and envisioned by distinguished technocrats Mr. A. H. Mahajan, Late Mr. R. S. Nadkarni and Late Mr. V. D. Gaitonde. They had a privilege of studying in of one of the elite and premier institutions of India at the “University Department of Chemical Technology”, Mumbai, more popularly known as UDCT.
